EST. MMXXVI — A TRAVEL HOUSE IN THE MAKING

A word the Romans only spoke in motion.

Scroll

Every name carries a story.
Ours is two thousand years old.

I — IV
VEHOR
"I carry."
In Latin, veho meant one thing: to bear, to haul — the weight of the road on your own back.
the voice changes
But no Roman used that word for a journey. To speak of travel, they turned the verb to its passive voice.
"I am carried."
Vehor. To travel was to be borne — by horse, by ship, by the road itself.
vehor — vehiculum — vehicle
The same root became the word vehicle. The traveller was never the one who strained — but the one carried forward.

The Romans didn't say "I carry." They said "I am carried" — the journey moves, and you go with it.

We built this for that.

For the ones who leave at dawn, cross a continent by lunch, and arrive ready — nothing rattling, nothing weighing, nothing left behind.
